Meet Our Team:

Dr. Benjamin Lyon

Dr. Benjamin Lyon is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia in 1995. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lyon believes that when making medical decisions for your patients, you should "treat your patients as if you were treating family". He and his wife Tracee, have three children, Mitch, Jenna and Grace, and one grandson, Weller. They believe that Georgetown is a wonderful place to live and have enjoyed raising their kids in the friendly small town enviornment that Georgetown provides. The entire family is involved with Jenna's "A Chance To Dance" program, a non-profit that serves individuals with special needs, as active volunteers. Dr. Lyon enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He loves Kentucky basketball and horse racing.

Mandy Mynhier,
PA-C.

Mandy Mynhier, PA-C has 12 years of experience in primary care, with an interest in the treatment of diabetic patients. She has a Bachelors degree in Biology and also received her Masters in Science in Physician Assistant studies at The University of Kentucky. Mandy is a native of eastern Kentucky and currently resides in Georgetown, KY with her husband. Mandy enjoys spending time on her farm with her goats, horse, dogs, cats, chicken, and rooster. Keep your eyes peeled for pictures of Mandy's goats and horse while in the office!

Joann Sutton

Joann has been a part of the Georgetown Internal Medicine family for the last 16 years. She began her time with the practice as part of the front office staff (CMA), but has since moved on to operate billings and serves in a supervisory roll. Joann is incredibly excited to continue being a part of providing quality health care to Georgetown Interal Medicine's "family of patients" at the practice's new location. In her spare time, Joann enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Bri Power

Bri is a current resident of Georgetown with her husband of seven years and their two kids (a four year old girl and a two year old boy). Bri loves being a part of the Georgetown Internal Medicine family and appreciates the office's fun and positive atmosphere. When Bri is not in the office, you can find her running her photography business, kayaking, or spending time with her friends ands family!

Melissa Miles

Melissa has been with Georgetown Internal Medicine since October of 2022. She entered the medical profession once her daughter graduated and moved to college. Before joining the practice, Melissa worked at various nursing homes, as well as UK Hospital on the transplant floor. While at UK, she loved getting to see her patients gain a new life from their transplant. When Melissa is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. This year, she was blessed with her first grandbaby, Rowan.

Kristin Mineer

Kristin is from Cynthiana, KY and is currently a Medical Assistant at Georgetown Internal Medicine. She recently graduated with her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in Medical Assisting in 2022, and she is currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences. Kristin is looking forward to continuing her career in the medical profession and is interested in exploring PA-C and administrative opportunities in the future. She has a 4 month old son named Wyatt, and she is thrilled to be a part of the Georgetown Internal Medicine family!

Rhonda Hinkle

Rhonda is a certified professional coder, certified medical transcriptionist, and medical assistant. She has been with Georgetown Internal Medicine since before Dr. Lyon's arrival to Georgetown and has worked in the healthcare industry since she was 20 years old! Rhonda enjoys travelling, attending church activities, and spending time with her husband and family (including five grandchildren). Rhonda loves the opportunity to help others and "feels extremely blessed to be a member of the GIM team".
